Coldest Night of the Year

Success @ CNOY 2013!

On Saturday February 23rd, 41 teams made up of 271 individuals walked along a 10 km route to raise $52,083 for The Refuge. We are so encouraged and excited to see that so many people in our community care about youth in need at The Refuge. We are also looking forward to watching Clarence wear his Hawaiian gear in March - don't worry, we'll post lots of photos.

The excitement at Simcoe Street United Church was palpable as we heard about our top fundraising teams:

1. WBC- We Be Cool, Team Captain Catherine Emmerson, raised $7,470

2. The Refuge Walkers, Team Captain Executive Director Clarence Keesman, raised $5,794

3. St. John's Orthowalks, Team Captain Father Hladio, raised $3,595

For all team standings, please visit our fundraising page:

The funds raised go directly to the homeless, hungry and hurting. Together, with 6,847 walkers from 40 different cities across Canada, we showed that we care, it is the little things count and we need each other. Last, but certainly not least, we had a blast together. We invite you to join us next year so we can work together to help Oshawa's youth in need.
