SECOND CHANCE YOUTH CENTRE
The Second Chance Youth Centre is a safe, warm, caring place for street youth to go. The Centre is open from 9-12:30 each weekday to serve breakfast and lunch. In addition to meeting the physical needs of our community's street youth, we also seek to develop trusting relationships with the youth. Through these relationships we are given opportunities to help them in meeting needs, refer them onto other agencies that are better equipped to deal with certain issues in their lives, encourage them in making positive decisions in life and showing them, in a very tangible way, the love that God has for each one of them.
Each day an average of 35-40 youth come to the Second Chance Youth Centre. Our numbers have increased dramatically over the years and we are seeing an 85% increase in usage of the centre over the past year.
